At the Cordenka site in Mühlhausen, grid connection and industrial infrastructure already exist, along with non-operational land. This allows the project to be implemented significantly faster than comparable greenfield developments, where land must first be developed and new grid connections established.
Solution
The battery storage system is designed to balance fluctuations in the power grid and provide grid-supportive flexibility. In addition, the storage capacity is marketed on the electricity market, through trading and the provision of system-support services.
